A Director, Digital Media Consultant, and Documentary Filmmaker based in Kolkata, Supriyo’s work blends cinema with anthropology, environment, conservation, and corporate storytelling.
With a B.Tech in Automobile Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, Supriyo bridges the worlds of science, society, and art through compelling narratives. He has collaborated with global forums like WWF, the River Symposium (Australia & Perth), and the Anthropological Congress, presenting research on floods, rivers, and climate adaptation. His award-winning and widely screened documentaries—such as Kinnara, River of Life – Sundarbans the Beautiful forest and Echoes—reflect his commitment to highlighting voices and stories from diverse communities and ecosystems.
In the corporate and media space, Supriyo has crafted impactful films for leading organizations including Tata Steel, Aditya Birla Group, ITC, Visa Steel, and Suzuki Chemicals, alongside acclaimed television work for Alpha TV Bangla, Zee Bangla, and Japan TV.
He is the Founder Director if Trutone pictures, he is also the Head of Digital Media at IIHM – International Institute of Hotel Management. Driven by the belief that stories can spark awareness, dialogue, and change, Supriyo continues to weave narratives that connect people, places, and possibilities.
